FAQs
We are dedicated to tree care and safety
We get questions about the in’s and out’s of professional tree removal every day. We’ve compiled a tree service FAQ to answer these questions and help you determine what to do with the trees located on your property.
Metro Detroit Tree and Firewood is licensed and bonded because we are a professional company who is committed to the safety of your property, our crews, and your trees. Someone who is not licensed or bonded most likely has not completed extensive safety and tree removal training, nor do they carry adequate coverage should something happen to your home or property during tree removal.
Here at Metro Detroit Tree & Firewood, we schedule our estimates weekly. Once you reach out to us, we will contact you to discuss what time and day your estimate is booked for. On the day of the estimate, we will give you a call prior to our arrival and give you a written quote along with a copy of our insurance.
If you’re interested in getting our service done after the estimate, call our office (586)625-3398, and we will book your job into our system. Depending on the season and size of job, your job could get done within 1-4 weeks of the estimate.
The price of tree removals depends on a number of factors. The height and diameter of the tree plays a big role. Other considerations include the condition of the tree, how easily accessible it is for equipment, what you’d like done with the trunk and branches after removal, and whether or not you want stump grinding. The removal process can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand. Make no mistake: this work is complex, time consuming, and dangerous. It’s best performed by an experienced arborist such as the team of professionals at Metro Detroit Tree and Firewood.
It is recommended to be present for services, but it is not mandatory. Let our office know if you’re unable to be home during the time of service.
Yes, you may. Speak with the estimator or foreman so the crew can accommodate your needs.
Depending on the city you live in, tree removal permits may be required. Call our office at (586)625-3398 to consult with us!
Yes! We’re excited to announce that we now accept credit cards as a convenient form of payment for our services.
We suggest speaking with the neighbor about trees or limbs that protrude onto their property. Make sure they understand the need to safely remove these and let them know the date planned for removal. Get permission to access their property if needed for safe removal.
At Metro Detroit Tree & Firewood, we are committed to sustainability. Every piece of wood we acquire from our jobs is recycled. We either convert the
wood into wood chips, which can then be transformed into mulch, or we transport it to a recycling wood yard
